Violet Rudd
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Director
Violet Rudd is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been practicing counseling for 10 years. She completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is working to complete her doctorate in Community Care and Counseling with an emphasis in Trauma Counseling; she has completed all required graduate coursework and is expected to complete her dissertation fall 2023. Violet specializes in court ordered reunifcation, teen mood disorders, marital and couple’s therapy, trauma therapy, and adult treatment for anxiety and depressive symptoms.
Violet has been married for twelve years and has two children. In addition to her work as a marriage and family therapist, she also works part time as an associate professor in higher education.
Violet is passionate about helping families and supporting education in the local community. In her free time Violet enjoys reading, learning, and traveling.
Nate Hooper
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Nate Hooper is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that had a private practice in Northern California for over seven years. Nate graduated from St. Mary’s College with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2001. He obtained his Master’s of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2003 from the University of San Francisco.
Nate taught at the University of Phoenix, Sacramento Valley Campus from 2009 – 2018, and was a Lead Faculty Area Chair for the College of Social Sciences from 2010 – 2018. He also provided clinical supervision at the Counseling Skills Center, located at the University of Phoenix, Sacramento Valley Campus, as well as Stanford Youth Solutions.
Nate relocated to Priest River, Idaho, in 2018 where he worked as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Sandpoint Psychotherapy, specializing in adolescents, couples, and families. Nate also engaged in Equine Assisted Therapy while at Sandpoint Psychotherapy. Nate recently joined the therapeutic staff at Mental Wellness and Relationship Services.
DuAnn Chambers
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
DuAnn Chambers is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist whose passion is to increase positivity in our community by offering collaborative counseling with individuals, families, or couples, in achieving higher life satisfaction.
DuAnn works with a wide variety of clientele using a multitude of treatment tools, both traditional and non-traditional. She uses the lens of Attachment Theory and Attachment Need as her foundation. DuAnn specializes in video sessions but is also available in-person. DuAnn is an EMDR, IFS, and an EFT-trained clinician. DuAnn has extensive experience working with Canine Therapy, using her 3 therapy dogs intermittently. She also specializes in attachment injuries, sexual abuse trauma, success blocks, and identifying boundaries with competing roles.
DuAnn has been married for 28 years and has an adopted 18-year-old daughter and enjoys the benefits of having a blended family. DuAnn has lived and worked in the Priest River/Sandpoint area for 30 years. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast enjoying snowboarding, paddle boarding, yoga, and teaching group fitness.
Jared Bruder

Nurse Practitioner
Jared Bruder is a licensed Nurse Practitioner currently specializing in family practice. He is board certified with the ANCC, and is also experienced in geriatric medicine, primary care, and pain management.
Jared believes that many of the physical illnesses that are treated in primary care have a strong mental health component to them that is all too often left unaddressed. It is his goal to incorporate both the physical and the mental health disciplines into his care that he provides to his patients. This is achieved by working closely with behavioral health specialists to provide a collaborative approach to patient care that improves their outcomes.
Jared enjoys spending time with his family in beautiful north Idaho.

Mark Tetzlaff
Licensed Master Social Worker
Mark Tetzlaff is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Idaho, holding a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. His approach to counseling is deeply compassionate and empathetic, shaped by his diverse experiences as a husband, father, entrepreneur, and employer over the past 16 years.
Mark’s journey into the counseling profession was inspired by witnessing the profound effects of trauma on individuals and recognizing the critical need for trauma-informed care. His personal experience with chronic pain has further deepened his understanding of the mind-body connection, leading him to integrate both cognitive and somatic approaches into his therapeutic practice.
In his clinical work, Mark adopts a holistic and individualized approach, tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. He utilizes a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment-Based Therapy, Polyvagal-informed techniques, and Somatic Experiencing. Mark is particularly passionate about helping clients explore their inner world, make sense of their life experiences, and work towards meaningful goals.
He firmly believes in the inherent worth of every person and is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering space for healing and personal growth.
Outside of his professional life, Mark enjoys spending quality time with his family, hiking, kayaking, and taking long walks in nature.

Savannah Schertenleib
Licensed Professional Counselor
Savannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a deeply rooted passion for helping others unravel the uncertainties life can bear. She has experience working with adolescents/teens, adults, couples, and families. Due to her time competing on the Gonzaga volleyball team, she enjoys working with collegiate and student athletes, helping build deeper awareness between the mental and physical components competition can present.
Her style of therapy is driven from a genuine and holistic space, gravitating towards a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness based approach. Savannah honors the authenticity that each individual encompasses, along with the narratives that make them unique. Savannah includes psychoeducation as part of her therapeutic toolkit and she works to walk alongside her clients. She believes in the genuine power of the therapeutic process and the intention of a transparent and collaborative approach with her clients.
In her free time, Savannah thoroughly enjoys being in nature with her husband and two dogs. She often spends time hiking and snowboarding, while also embracing softer spaces such as reading in a cozy coffee shop. Savannah’s education and life experiences cultivate a warm and genuine space for her clients to be seen and heard while they explore their struggles together in session.

Allison Barnes
Licensed Masters Social Worker
Allison Barnes is a Licensed Master Social Worker providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University and is currently working toward independent clinical licensure.
Allison has a special interest in equine-assisted therapy, alongside her work in traditional psychotherapy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthrozoology from Carroll College with an emphasis on equine-assisted therapy.
Her approach to therapy is collaborative and supportive, helping clients build coping skills, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change.
Outside of her clinical work, Allison enjoys time with her young daughter, riding horses, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors.
Jay Phan

Nurse Practitioner
Jay’s passion for healthcare and building relationships with patients has driven him to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. He believes that mental health has significant impacts on physical health. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Jay was a biochemical engineer; he studied how chemicals interact with the human body on the biological level.
Jay’s philosophy of patient care revolves around taking the time to be truly present to those who are suffering from mental health issues. He believes this is particularly relevant in our distracted and fast-paced society and also sees the importance of recognizing the dignity and uniqueness of each human person.
Jay is a licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and is part of a team of psychiatric and mental health providers at MWRS who have extensive experience in all areas of behavioral health, physical health, and medication management.
Jay’s goal is to provide the best possible care for patients of all ages. He enjoys learning about patients and different approaches to promoting the safest treatment for mental and physical health.

Perry Broomfield
Licensed Masters Social Worker
Perry Broomfield is a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. She provides counseling for concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, eating disorders, substance use, and the effects of trauma. Perry focuses on creating a safe and supportive space where clients can build resilience, develop coping skills, and move toward emotional well-being.
She has a special appreciation for language and culture, shaped in part by time spent living in Mexico, and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
Outside of her professional work, Perry enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her three children. She brings warmth, patience, and empathy to her role as a counselor, and is committed to walking alongside clients at their own pace toward growth and hope.

Beverly Oh
Licensed Professional Counselor
Beverly Oh is both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor who has a diverse background in counseling, nursing, and education. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Services as well as a Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus on education propelling her into varied roles encompassing substance use, community health, and academia. Beverly is a certified Kolbe Consultant, sharing her dedication to helping individuals discover their optimal career paths.
Beverly specializes in guiding clients through challenging life situations, including separation, divorce, childhood trauma, domestic violence, grief and loss, severe and persistent mental illness, women’s issues, adoption, guardianship, and job loss/career change. With expertise in various therapeutic modalities, Beverly’s true passion lies in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and hypnosis. These techniques underscore her commitment to innovative and effective approaches to mental health and well-being.
Beverly is a devoted adoptive parent to two daughters and has provided nurturing care to a third daughter through the foster care system. Additionally, Beverly takes pride in her role as the guardian of her 8-year-old grandson, further emphasizing her dedication to family and the well-being of those around her. Beverly finds joy in spending quality time with her family, indulging in her love for reading, and exploring new destinations through travel. Residing in Coeur d’Alene, Beverly brings a holistic and compassionate approach to her counseling practice, embodying a commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges.
Kevin Dayton
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Kevin Dayton has a masters degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Idaho. Kevin has many years of experience working with Child and Family Services where the primary focus was counseling with adolescent youth and helping families work through a complexity
of issues.
Kevin has also spent many years working with military members and their families, dealing with traumatic brain injuries, stresses of military deployments and various family dynamics. Kevin has experience helping individuals navigate the complexities of interpersonal relationships and helped many individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, behavioral problems as well as grief and loss.
His approach is to respectfully collaborate with clients to explore insights and to develop strategies that invite the possibility for change. This journey of discovery is always exciting, as individuals find strengths, balance, untapped skills, and resources that will often be the elements needed for lasting change.
In his free time Kevin loves being with family, traveling and experiencing new cultures throughout the world. He also enjoy camping, hiking, woodworking, scuba diving and playing disc golf.
Shannon Hurd
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Equine Director
Shannon Hurd is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has a heart for navigating life’s questions with people. She has experience in the traditional therapy setting, but also as an equine therapist. She is also certified in EMDR. Her style of therapy is eclectic and holistic, which allows her to authentically meet a vast majority of clients where they are at.
She believes humans are story tellers and aims to help people tell their story, rewrite it if necessary, and write their future chapter outlines. The use of metaphors, activation of the poly-vagal system, and the development of distressed tolerance skills lends for a unique and lasting experiential learning environment for clients.
Shannon is a mom of two girls, 10 and 8, a wife of 14 years, and an active member of the community. She participates in 4-H, running local radio nets, and her local grange. Shannon lives on 85 acres in the mountains and enjoys all the activities that comes with it.
