Request a medication appointmentWhen medication may help
Medication is not the right fit for everyone, but it can be a helpful part of care when symptoms feel persistent, disruptive, or hard to manage through counseling alone.
Some clients reach out because anxiety feels constant, depression is wearing them down, or focus and attention issues are affecting work, school, or daily life. Others simply want to talk through options with a prescriber and decide what makes sense.
Our approach is thoughtful and collaborative. We take time to understand what has been going on, answer questions clearly, and consider whether medication fits your goals, preferences, and overall care.
Medication support may be worth considering for:
- Anxiety that feels difficult to settle
- Depression that is affecting daily life
- ADHD symptoms such as focus, organization, or follow-through
- Mood-related concerns that need further evaluation
- Situations where counseling alone has not felt like enough
What to expect
The first appointment is a chance to talk through what has been going on, ask questions, and decide whether medication support makes sense for you. It is not a rushed or one-size-fits-all process.
At your first visit, we may talk about:
- Your current symptoms and how long they have been affecting you
- Past counseling, medication, or other treatment history
- Sleep, stress, focus, mood, and day-to-day functioning
- Your goals, preferences, and any concerns about medication
If medication seems like a good fit, your prescriber can talk through options, next steps, and follow-up care. If it does not, that is okay too. The goal is to find an approach that fits your needs.

Common questions
Do I have to take medication if I schedule an appointment?
No. The first visit is a conversation. You and your provider will talk through your symptoms, history, and goals, and decide together whether medication makes sense.
Can I do both counseling and medication management?
Yes. Many clients use both. Medication can support symptom relief, while counseling helps address patterns, relationships, and long-term change.
How often are follow-up appointments?
This depends on your situation. Some clients meet more frequently at the beginning and then space visits out once things are stable.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments for clients anywhere in Idaho, along with in-person visits in Coeur d’Alene and Ponderay.
What conditions do you treat?
We commonly help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and related concerns, but each situation is unique. The first step is a conversation to understand what you are dealing with.
Ready to talk through your options?
Whether you are looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or something less clear-cut, we can help you decide whether medication care makes sense for your situation.
